ABOUT TURBONOCK

TURBONOCK is a small New Hampshire based achery company that produces are a series of nocks.  TURBONOCKS  have a patented twist that instantly spins an arrow in a similar manner as the rifling in a gun barrel spins a bullet. The result is a very precise, flat, and fast arrow trajectory. The compound bow, precise sights, improved releases, fall away rests, aluminum and carbon composite arrow shafts are all part of modern archery. ¬†However, modern arrows still use traditional feathers or vanes, as they have for thousands of years. The feathers and vanes are set at a slight pitch on the arrow shaft to catch the wind in order to spin the arrow.  Traditionally fletched arrows leave the bow at 0 RPM and require 20 yards of flight to spin the arrow 2 times.  It is proven that a spinning arrow or a spinning bullet has a more flat, stable and precise flight path.  TURBONOCK improves arrow precision and flight trajectory by spinning the arrow two times in the first five feet of flight... 24 times in 20 yards! Numerous archers have discovered the advantages of TURBONOCK, from amateur hunters and target shooters, to regional and national champions, and world record holders like Randy Oitker.

TURBONOCKS are designed for hunting, 3D, and target shooting. TURBONOCKS are quiet, although the greatest benefit comes from the precise trajectory created by the high RPMs. TURBONOCKS will spin a broadhead anywhere from 5 to 8 thousand RPM. A broadhead will make a unique large round entrance wound.  Even if there is not a pass through, the large entrance wound will provide ample bleed out for a fast humane kill.  TURBONOCKS benefit 3D and target shooters by creating an accurate, precise and predictable flight path. Examples of target shooters and hunters using TURBONOCKS can be seen in the video above. in addition, there are numerous movies on our video page.

The innovative TURBONOCK STEALTH and VORTEX actually replace fletching.  The STEALTH and VORTEX will stabilize arrows using the vanes that are an integrated part of the nock.  Simply use hot melt glue to secure their textured insert into the unibushing on an aluminum arrow, or into the back of most carbon shafts.  It's that easy!

*** The TURBONOCK line has been updated recently.  The STEALTH and VORTEX are the improved versions of the original TURBONOCK HUNTER and DEAD X.  In addition to more streamlined vanes, the STEALTH and VORTEX also feature unique micro-serrated edges that can help to enhance the wound created by a broadhead. ***

While the TURBONOCK STEALTH and VORTEX replace fletching, the TURBONOCK T-4, T-5, and T-6 are more "traditional". The T-4, T-5, and T-6 will stabilize conventionally fletched arrows. They can stabilize broadheads with much smaller fletching than a conventional nock. These nocks do not have vanes built in.  They simply have a twist that will dramatically increase the rotation of tradtionally fletched arrows.  Fixed blade broadheads can be shot with Mini-Blazers that Bohning recommends only for mechanicals.  Simply use hot melt glue to secure their textured insert into the unibushing on an aluminum arrow, or into the back of most carbon shafts.  It's that easy!  Basically any 1.5 square inch, three fletched arrow will stabilize fixed or mechanical broadheads, and any target arrow.  Target arrows can be shot with only .7 square inches of vane.  At this time there are no target vanes made this small.

TUNING TURBONOCKS

TURBONOCKS arrows spin mechanically and fly differently than conventional arrows. Using TURBONOCKS requires a slight modification of the rest height to get optimum performance. Conventionally fletched nocked arrows will not fly properly when shot through a bow set up for TURBONOCKS.  TURBONOCKS will not fly well through a bow set up for conventional fletching.  Simple tuning instructions are provided with every order and also have the tuning information on this website in the TUNING TIPS section. The TURBONOCK tuning process is quite simple.  An archery shop or bow mechanic setup should be provided with the TURBONOCK tuning instructions. Traditional tuning may not be successful . With TURBONOCK tuning information, any bow mechanic, amateur or professional will be able to shoot perfect bullet holes.
